Description
This itinerary details an exciting two-day tour of the Amazon, departing from Manaus. The trip includes diverse experiences, such as crossing the meeting of the waters of the Negro and Solimões rivers, visiting the Juma river and staying at Pousada Kabanas Amazon Lodge. The first day includes activities such as piranha fishing, bird watching, dolphin watching and a night trip to see alligators. The second day begins with sunrise and wildlife observation, followed by a walk in the jungle with explanations about medicinal plants and survival techniques. The return to Manaus is scheduled for late afternoon.
Itinerary
DAY 1
8:00 am: Departure from Manaus to CEASA harbor, where you will take our speedboat to cross the rivers (Negro River and Solimões River). We’ll make a short stop to see the magnificent Meeting of the Waters, then cross Careiro da Várzea and continue along the famous Transamazônica Highway by car or van for about 50 minutes until reaching Maçarico River. There, you’ll board our speedboat to Amazon Tarzan Lodge in the Juma River area, where you’ll be staying during the tour.
12:00 pm:Â Lunch
3:00 pm:Â (Activities begin) Canoe tour for piranha fishing and wildlife observation (birds, dolphins), followed by sunset viewing before returning to the lodge.
7:00 pm:Â Dinner
8:00 pm:Â Night canoe excursion to spot caimans, with your guide providing explanations about these alligators. Return to the lodge for overnight stay.
DAY 2
5:30 am:Â Wake up to watch the sunrise and observe birds and dolphins.
7:00 am:Â Breakfast
8:00 am:Â Jungle trek with your guide, who will explain about:
- Medicinal plants
- Survival techniques
- Local wildlife (spiders, monkeys, birds, sloths)
12:00 pm:Â Lunch
2:00 pm:Â Departure back to Manaus
4:30 pm:Â Arrival in Manaus
